We cruised up to our 2nd to last Bojangles’ of the tour, and from the moment we put BettyBo in park, it was a party! People were excited about 1979 prices and all the freebies we had to give away. Folks from every walk of life were there. The old, the young, regulars, newcomers, and everyone in between.
Of course the staff was amazing. They make you feel like family from the moment you walk through the door.
One girl even came on her day off to show some love to her coworkers.
And you won’t believe it but today we met Charlie Brown. He is the exact same age as the Peanuts character too.
Tomorrow, May 26th, is the last day of the CruisinSC tour! Don’t forget every SC Bojangles’ will have the 1979 rollback prices all day long. If you can make it, come see us at the 100th store on Gardner’s Ferry Rd in Columbia.
And of course we GottaWannaNeedaGettaHavea cute kid pics galore!
Just in case you don’t know what’s going on at Bojangles’, take a look at this commercial so you can celebrate with us.
We met a pretty special lady this morning. Her name is Mary. She works for an organization that helps families that live at or below the poverty line. And she is in charge of taking care of the hygienic and health care needs of the children of these families. She works hard and puts in a lot of thankless hours for the betterment of Columbia. Bojangles’ loves people like Mary, and Mary loves her local Bojangles’.
We all have our simple pleasures that get us through the week. For some it’s an afternoon nap, for others it’s two minutes a day playing games on their Verizon Droid (cough…cough-Matt-cough…). But for this lady, it’s a delicious Bojangles’ biscuit and a good book.
Ask almost anyone, Bojangles’ is a great place to read. It’s gotta be the sweet tea. It makes you smarter, helps you concentrate. Just ask these two girls. They go to Bojangles’ to study for their French exam tomorrow. Their dad came along to help and to buy the biscuits.
Do you have a best friend? If you won the free Bahamas cruise, would you take them? These ladies would. They made an agreement that if either one won the cruise they’d take the other with them. Now that’s friendship.
The folks of Clemson Rd in Columbia are very punctual people. At 11:55 only a few travelers were having lunch, but then at 12:00, we roll up to the Bojangles’ and the neighborhood followed us in! It seemed like everybody and their dog were coming out for some rollback prices and free giveaways.
“I want more… cant we go back?”

We love Bojangles'
But don’t worry; at Bojangles’, no matter how long the line gets, it will always move fast. SO fast in fact it might make your eyes water. Just ask Anthony.
It hurts sometimes...
And no matter what, the food will always be hot and fresh. One gentleman was so excited about his hot, fresh and fast biscuit, that he woofed it down, just so he could go and order something else! And with 1979 prices, one can afford such habits.
Hot and fresh
And of course the service is always with a smile. In fact if you’re not careful, you might start to smile too. Especially if you’re at a Bojangles’ like Clemson Rd.
Gotta love Bojangles'

What a crew!
We love our job, we’re sad that it’s almost over. BUT there is still time for YOU to register for the free cruise. Go back a page and click the “REGISTER to WIN” button and then register to win one of the cruises. And remember that you an register once every 24 hours. So if you’ve registered, do it again!
So many patrons feel a sense of ownership to their local Bojangles’, they are as friendly and helpful as the workers. Welcome to Bojangles’! Come on in.
Welcome
Heading into our last 3 days of the tour, we are really getting the word out about 1979 prices. Bojangles’ recognizes that while times are tight, it’s great to enjoy a family breakfast without worrying about price.
Family time
We met up with Vicki Olsen, the Teacher of the Year winner for Lee District 1. Inspired to teacher under-privileged students, this dual doctorate teacher gave up a lot of money up North to teach in South Carolina. A hidden benefit – being able to eat Bojangles’.

Today is Albert’s 65th birthday. He wanted a green polo so one of the Bojangles’ representatives literally gave him the shirt off of his back.
Happy Birthday Albert!
Old Bojangles’ saying – “A biscuit in hand is worth two in the…” Well, something like that.
Biscuit in the hand
In case you didn’t know it, Camden has a lot of history. We saw a couple museums, tons of old houses, and the house belonging to Lord Cornwalis – Commander of the British Army during the Civil War. Many of these places dated back to the late 1700’s. Just imagine if we rolled back prices to 1779…

Matt laughed at me when we locked ourselves out of the RV at the Hartsville stop on May 14, so I decided to trick him this morning. I acted like we locked ourselves out again and the only window unlocked was 8” by 12” so he had to climb through it. He got halfway through and then we “found” the keys…Point Anthony.
It was a sunny morning in the lovely town of Charleston today. The smell of fresh Bojangles’ biscuits was in the air, neighbors were waving at each other as they passed, and the birds were singing… well actually they were fighting fiercely. We arrived to find a whole gaggle of seagulls, crows and other birds squawking, flapping, snapping, and fighting beak and feather for some food on the ground.
Must have been a Cajun Filet
Luckily there were more pleasant animals to be seen at Savannah Highway. Like this Scottie who loves ham biscuits almost as much as her owner.
If you haven’t met Bo yet, he is Bojangles’ mascot. And not only is he a good dancer (as seen on YouTube) BUT he is also popular with the ladies.
We gave away all 100 of our free biscuit coupons this morning, and it just so happened that the 100th customer was a gentleman who worked for Pepsi. He knew all about Teacher Appreciation Month. How Pepsi is donating 5 cents of every drink purchased at Bojangles in the month of May to Future Minds (up to $10,000). That’s something we all can feel good about.

We’re almost to the end! Only three more days and five more stores. Don’t forget May 26th. Make sure you are in our wonderful state and near a Bojangles’ because the rollback prices are coming back!
It’s hard to believe that we only have 6 stops left until we have cruised all of South Carolina. We have seen a lot of great people during this trip. Also, we’ve seen a lot of repeat patrons like this young man here. He just can’t get enough Bojangles’. I don’t know where he gets his money, but I guess with 1979 Rollback prices you don’t really need a lot of it.

Happy Birthday to this guy. His birthday is May 26 – the day every South Carolina Bojangles’ rolls back prices to 1979. Guess what year he was born…1979. Is that a good omen to win a free cruise or what?

Word to the fellas out there – with Bojangles’ rolling back prices, you can definitely afford to treat your lady to a nice meal. No excuse for not going out for a nice lunch date…
I love traveling. I love Bojangles'. I feel like I'm in a dream. But not that dream where that angry buffalo is trying to steal my Bojangles' Buffalo Bites
I am a born navigator. By relying solely on the instincts of my stomach, and maybe a GPS, I am confident I will find every Bojangles' in South Carolina.
